I am an avid preloved shopper but I know that lots of my friends can’t be bothered to log on to loads of different sites. They want to be able to find a wide array of brands and sizes on just one site. Couture Community is aiming to bring together preloved stores and individual sellers under one roof (website), which will eventually make searching much easier and quicker.
Ebay is fabulous, but only if you have time and know how to avoid the fakes and dodgy sellers. Everything on Couture Community is checked so you know what you see, and pay for, is what you get.
For me, the main difference in what Couture Community are offering us consumers, is the delivery time. In most cases it is next day or 48 hours, this means shopping preloved should suddenly become as easy as buying from a Department Store.
Kirsty who founded the business, is someone I have known for a long time and I have sourced some of my best preloved finds from her. She has joined forces with Susie Travis to set up Couture Community.
I popped in this week as a lot of readers have asked me to try and find them a Chanel jacket and Kirsty let me know that they have a big delivery due. If you would like to know more about Couture Community check out our interview below.
Couture Community load new items everyday, the good pieces sell out straight away so it is worth checking the sites new arrivals regularly. The team are runnng regular POP Ups, I will remind you on the dates as I will be going!
I will be featuring some of the pieces I have discovered over the next weeks. This Pucci poncho was never worn and is perfect for Spring over jeans or to travel in. This will be online next week. Yes some of these pieces like the poncho, are way outside my price bracket but I check the site regularly and often find those lesser known high end brands at prices similar to what I would pay in Whistles or Sandro.
There were so many Chanel jackets and cardigans in sizes from UK 6 to 12 , the prices are still quite high but I know the jackets cost thousands new but I have found mine Chanel for £450 so that is the kind of price I feel comfortable paying.
Sometimes you have to be patient with preloved and if pieces don’t sell sellers are then willing to accept lower prices. I would buy the Louis Vuitton jacket, it is a classic beautifully cut and at £250 a fair price.
I fell in love with this Hermes bag which is online at £1300, yes it is expensive but if you are looking to invest, I would rather put my money toward this bag.
Couture Community also run flash sales where you can pick up some great bargains, I have my eye on this white Burberry Shirt, I am wearing below which is on at £75. Check out this Prada bag which is a steal at £90.
This is not a sponsored post and I always pay for all the pieces I purchase from Couture Community. Preloved is the only way I can afford to buy those high end brands and I am more than happy to spread the word as the more Preloved we can get our hands on the better.
