I have been asked to review a lot of the new Blow Dry Bars but I have never felt that the blow dry was special enough to share with you.
Also most of them charge a fortune. I was asked to trial Dry By London and I was so happy with my blow dry that I am delighted to recommend the service.
The location is perfect, just off Oxford Street (5 mins from Topshop) so you can pop in while in town shopping, or at a meeting, or even before a night out.
The décor is truly beautiful, restful and unique. This is a place to grab 30 minutes to yourself in a busy day or to go with a friend catch up and have your hair or nails done. I also love that the lighting is really subtle and relaxing.
You have the usual choices of blow dry and then off to get washed. My hair didn’t know what hit it – it hasn’t been as thoroughly cleaned in years. You also get a mini-head massage. I love that they have chosen Philip B products, and you can choose to have an additional treatment or ‘scalp facial’. With the wind and rain in winter, a great, quick blow dry is crucial. I know my usual hairdresser gets so busy at this time of year that it is great to have a back-up, where I can be assured that they can manage my hair.
The blow dry was super quick and my hair was left soft and silky – and it lasted! They charge twenty eight pounds for a blow dry, which is good value.
I haven’t tested the manicure and pedicure, but I will be heading back to book these.
With the party season upon us this is a great service, and sometimes an excellent blow dry is as good (and a lot cheaper) than a new outfit!
My blow dry was complimentary but I have booked to go back , which I will be paying for myself. They have an at home service coming soon, as well as an app to make booking easier.
