Is your partner still wearing the clothes he had at University? Outfit Inspiration from Uniqlo

I don’t know how it is in your house, but if my husband had his way he would still be wearing the clothes he wore to the student union twenty years ago!

Men often don’t have a problem dressing for the office but weekend attire is another story! Look around any park or childrens party.

The selection of mens clothes has really improved, and as they tend to spend a lot on suits I know my other half wants a reasonably priced option for his weekend wardrobe. So I will be regularly featuring some well priced outfit inspiration .

Where to start? I asked one of the most stylish man I know- Elias- as he is so impeccably dressed I was assuming TomFord/ Gucci Saint Laurent. No, he said to start with some good basics at Uniqlo.

So we put together a couple of outfits you could wear to the park at the weekend and out for dinner in the evening. They are all so well priced! What I love about Uniqlo is that they use great cottons and cashmere and the cuts are realistic.

  1. This post made me laugh, because forget 20 yrs ago – my husband is still wearing the clothes he wore to the student union THIRTY years ago, including one pair of camo combat shorts that he loves with a passion and which make me want to run screaming from the room. I have hoped for years that he’d lose them somewhere along the way but no such luck. They are indestructible. Anyway, I too have a v stylish male friend and guess who he swears by for basics? Yup, that’s right – Uniqlo. I love Uniqlo! I buy my husband their cotton shirts, linen shirts, knitwear and sweatshirts. I also have their featherlight down puffa jacket and shove it into my suitcase when we go on holiday – it’s a brilliant extra layer under a coat/jacket if the weather is unseasonably cold or if you’re arriving back in Gatwick at 6am and it’s bloody freezing!

    • I am glad we are all in the same boat Annabel. I had to hide al my husbands football shirts and scarves,I blamed the movers..
