I had the Chanel slingbacks.
However, I sold them as the strap always cut into my heel and the heel clip clopped too much. I loved the idea of a lower heel, especially during the day, as I am too busy for anything higher than a kitten heel. It is all about getting the ones that are truly comfortable otherwise I know I will go back to my trainers!
L.K Bennett are my top tip and you have to size up. I am a UK 7 and buy a UK 8 in the slingback which is called the AVA. They don’t give me blisters and you can run around in them all day. They also don’t look mumsy…
They have reissued them for Spring and they even have a sublime yellow option.
Don’t forget Urban Outfitters I bought the white pair featured above for £15 and they fit like a glove and at £15 now in the sale, who cares if the heel gets scuffed .
I bought mine in the sale and a couple of pairs on Ebay.
I wear mine with jeans or joggers and now have them in all colours. I am not so keen on them with skirts or dresses as then you venture into the Kate Middleton territory, which can be very ageing.
The Ganni Sabine is also one of my favourite new arrivals this Spring and I adore the tie back.
Slingbacks are a brilliant transitional shoe. You will wear them…I promise!
